About our Rainline® product
Rainline® is the original profiled marking, designed to maximise the visibility of road markings in wet and dark conditions.
Exceptional performance through embossment
Developed by Prismo®, Rainline® is a specialist product which uses embossing techniques to create a continuous pattern of inverted profiles on the road surface. It is difficult using conventional ‘flat’ lines to attain high levels of skid resistance, while still achieving high levels of wet and dry retroreflectivity. With Rainline®, these requirements are automatically provided through the embossment process.
Enhanced safety and visibility
Rainline® is designed with both safety and visibility in mind. Its unique structure prevents water from accumulating on the road surface, reducing the risk of aquaplaning and icy patches, while remaining safe for all motorists. When it comes to visibility, Rainline® stands out. It delivers optimal performance in wet night conditions and stays clearly visible under sodium lighting, where conventional markings often disappear.
Durable and environmentally-friendly
Built to withstand the test of time, Rainline® features a slump-resistant rib design that retains its shape even under heavy traffic, ensuring long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance. Along with its exceptional durability, it also offers a sustainable solution that is 100% solid, solvent free, and formulated to reduce environmental impact without compromising on quality.

How does this work?
These profiled markings not only protrude above surface water to assist with drainage but also channel it away to ensure higher levels of retroreflectivity in wet conditions.
